Research On The Logic Of Constructing People’s Good Life In The New Era

The pursuit of a better life is the unchanging vision of the general public.General Secretary Xi Jinping made a historic judgment in the report of the 19th National Congress: socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,and the people’s growing need for a better life and unbalanced and insufficient development have become the main contradiction in our society.This is a major historical conclusion reached by the CPC by adhering to the principle of seeking truth from facts and advancing with the times,and it is also a concentrated manifestation of the CPC’s philosophy of not forgetting the original intention and putting people first.This paper outlines the scientific connotation and basic features of the good life in the new era from the important discourse on the good life by General Secretary Xi Jinping since the 18th National Congress,and emphasizes that the good life of the people in the new era is a good life with a fuller sense of achievement,a more sustainable sense of happiness and a more secure sense of security,which is the starting point of this study.The important discourses on the good life of human beings by classic Marxist writers,excellent Chinese traditional culture and western society provide rich philosophical nourishment for the construction of the good life of the people in the new era,and reveal the theoretical vein and humanistic background of the good life.The practical basis for building a good life in the new era is that,on the one hand,the unprecedented changes of the century and the strategic overall situation of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation have provided historical opportunities and laid a solid and reliable material foundation for building a good life;on the other hand,the transformation of the main contradictions of society has raised many problems and challenges,and people have higher standards and requirements in innovation and development,fairness,ecological protection,perfection of the rule of law and spiritual enrichment,etc.This is the realistic basis and constraint for building a better life in the new era.Theories originate from practice,and in turn provide guidance for practice.To build people’s good life in the new era,we should guarantee sufficient production of material materials,improve the national governance system with Chinese characteristics,adhere to the people as the center,provide excellent social security,create a good ecological environment,and make efforts from the real place to solve the problem of unbalanced and insufficient development in China.This is the ultimate purpose of social science research and the fundamental interest of this study.
