| With the development of rural tourism development,rural hotels continue to thrive.The prosperity of rural hotels helps increase the farmers’ income and solve the problem of rural employment.Furthermore,it brings new incentives of development to the rural area,and plays an increasingly important role in promoting the economic development of ethic areas.Due to their inherent advantages,women are more and more significant in boasting ethnic rural hotels.The ethnic women’s means of livelihood has changed since they participated in the development of rural hotels.This change has a profound impact on their lives,and transforms their perception.Furthermore,it also influences their feeling of happiness.Taking Dazhai village,a typical ethnic tourism village,as an example,this paper investigates the process and impact of Yao women’s livelihood change by the means of interviewing villagers and hanging out questionnaires.By summarizing and combing the relevant research,this study constructs a system of evaluation index.This system indicates how the change of livelihood influences women employee’s feeling of happiness.In addition,by using the stepwise regression method,this study makes an empirical analysis on the influencing factors of livelihood change on the well-being of female practitioners.The conclusions are as follows:(1)After participating in the development of rural hotels,the means of livelihood of ethnic women has changed from traditional paddy farming to diversified livelihood mode dominated by rural hotels,and the livelihood level has been improved;(2)The change of livelihood mode has an impact on women practitioners’ economic development,views and values,education,social communication,family,and so on;(3)Education level,years of experience in hotels,earning performance,income level and willingness to engage in work,all these five demographic variables have significant differences on the happiness of female practitioners,while age and family structure have no significant explanatory power on the happiness of female practitioners;(4)The change of livelihood mode has improved the happiness of ethnic women,among which the three dimensions including economic development,ideas and social communication have the most significant impact on the improvement of happiness.Finally,combined with the results of empirical analysis and field research,this paper puts forward the strategies to improve the happiness of rural hotel female practitioners in ethnic areas. |
