Economic Mutual Aid And Social Carnival:A Study Called Huacong On Baohe Town,Weixi County,Yunnan Province

The formation and development of civil society organizations have their own logic and are also related to the specific environment.Huacong is a non-governmental organization of Naxi ethnic group and an important carrier of economic and interactive exchanges among ethnic groups in western Yunnan.In the past,it assumed the function of Naxi folk economic assistance in the period of material shortage.Now,with the development of social economy and the improvement of living conditions,the function of Huacong is gradually changing from mutual economic function to social function such as leisure and entertainment,interpersonal communication and information exchange.According to the "theory of financial evolution",the ancient economic mutual assistance activity of Huacong should gradually decline or even disappear,but it is popular in Baohe town.In this study,Baohe town was selected as the field survey point,and Baohe town’s Huacong and Huacong group were taken as the research objects.Focusing on the two considerations of how Baohe town people carry out Huacong and why they participate in Huacong,the research focused on the whole process,degree of investment,reasons for participation and withdrawal of Baohe town people in preparing to build Huacong.The main contents of the study include: the historical and realistic basis of the popularity of Huacong in Baohe town;The organizational structure,different types,personnel composition and income and expenditure of Baohe Zhenhua Group;As an "economic man",Huacong group realizes economic interaction and relationship construction with others by choosing to participate in Huacong to meet their own rational demands;As a "social person",Huacong group participates in Huacong and socializes with others in the micro scenes of daily life by investing different time and energy costs to achieve social emotional needs.The author believes that although it is an informal organization,it has a relatively complete organizational structure,has different organizational roles such as group leader,group leader and accountant,and undertakes different social division of labor.The reason why it is organized and developed stably lies in the operating mechanism of jointly discussing and building a mechanism,paying fees and taking turns.The deep behavioral logic of individual participation is the relationship construction of the group,the needs of social emotion and the re realization of self-worth.The economic function of Pang has changed to a social function.It has broken the shielding effect of ethnic boundaries and become an important local social media.Individuals can achieve economic interaction and relationship construction with others through the socialization of Pang.As a collective organization,he brings the people who are about to retire and have retired back to the social stage from the marginal position,and gives full play to their self-worth,which has become an important cultural factor in building a harmonious society.
