A Research On The Influencing Factor-S Of Entrepreneurial Performance Of Veterans

The Ministry of Veterans Affairs of the People’s Republic of China issued a document "Opinions on Promoting the Employment and Entrepreneurship of Veterans in the New Era",which clearly pointed out that promoting veterans’ participation in the practice of "double entrepreneurship and innovation" is an important way to promote veterans to realize their own value and boost China’s economic development and national defense construction.However,the success rate of veterans’ entrepreneurship are low because of the complexity of entrepreneurship.On the basis of reviewing and summarizing previous literature,by using social capital,entrepreneurial environment and other theories as the foundation,this paper conducts a study on the entrepreneurial performance of veterans and finds that veteran entrepreneurs are the subjects of entrepreneurial activity.Their entrepreneurial ability is deeply related with the social network and entrepreneurial environment that they are in.Entrepreneurial ability of veteran entrepreneurs is also an important factor in determining the result of their entrepreneurship.Reviewing the previous studies on the relevant influencing factors of entrepreneurial performance,the conclusions are inconsistent.by summarizing and referencing on the views of previous studies,a model of factors influencing entrepreneurial performance of veterans with mediating and moderating effects is constructed.Through literature review,this paper defines each variable,and divides the variables into different dimensions,and then puts forward the model and related theoretical hypotheses of this research,finally using questionnaire survey and data analysis methods to verify the hypothesis and drawing the following conclusions:First,the social capital and entrepreneurial environment owned by veteran entrepreneurs have a positive impact on the entrepreneurial performance of veterans.Thus,increasing the social capital of veteran entrepreneurs and improving the entrepreneurial environment will help to promote the entrepreneurial performance of veterans.Second,the entrepreneurial ability of veterans plays an important mediating role in the relationship between the social capital,entrepreneurial environment,and entrepreneurial performance of veterans.The ability of veteran entrepreneurs to seize opportunities and integration and coordination is the bridge that promotes the success of entrepreneurship.Third,the personality traits displayed by veteran entrepreneurs play an important role in regulating effect in the relationship between the entrepreneurial ability and entrepreneurial performance of veterans.Strengthening the training of personality traits and psychological guidance of veterans will help veterans better develop their entrepreneurial ability and promote entrepreneurial success.Finally,by summarizing those conclusions,this paper puts forward relevant improvement suggestions for veteran entrepreneurs and policy makers,and puts forward the possible shortcomings,the prospects of this research and suggestions for follow-up research.
