Research On Patriotism Education In The Context Of The COVID-19

Patriotism education is an inevitable requirement for cultivating newcomers in the era of national rejuvenation,and it is also the proper meaning of ideological and political education.The sudden new crown epidemic has disrupted the normal rhythm of education.Patriotism education must not only guard against the risks and challenges it brings,but also seize the opportunities it brings,find opportunities for patriotism education in the epidemic crisis,and constantly summarize experience through practice.Overcome existing deficiencies,and constantly optimize patriotic education strategies under the background of normalizing epidemic prevention and control.The four parts of the main body of this paper discuss the following contents and viewpoints respectively:The first part discusses the connotation and characteristics of patriotism education.The concepts of patriotism and patriotism education are sorted out and studied,and the new characteristics of patriotism education objects,situations,practices and other elements under the background of the new crown epidemic are analyzed,and the value implication of strengthening patriotism education under the epidemic situation is further clarified.The second part discusses the challenges and opportunities faced by patriotism education in the context of the new crown epidemic.On the one hand,patriotism education faces risks and challenges from the outside,including the impact of international public opinion struggles on rational patriotism,the interference of Western ideological trends on patriotic beliefs,and the weakening of patriotic education effects by negative public opinion.On the other hand,China’s strong measures to fight the epidemic have also won valuable opportunities for patriotic education,including providing rich educational resources,expanding online education platforms,condensing national emotions,strengthening national identity,and generating antiepidemic spirit.The third part summarizes the experience and shortcomings of patriotic education practice in the context of the new crown epidemic.Among them,the experience of forming patriotic education during the epidemic includes four aspects,namely condensing the great antiepidemic spirit,determining the key points of education work in stages,forming educational content in combination with the epidemic,and using multiple channels to build a threedimensional education system.The shortcomings of patriotic education in the epidemic are reflected in four aspects:education subject,content,carrier and practice,which are manifested as lack of coordination among subjects,weak content attraction,poor carrier effect,and poor practical education effectiveness.The fourth part discusses the strategy of patriotism education in the context of the new crown epidemic,which constitutes the core part of the full text.On the basis of preventing risks and challenges,seizing the opportunities of the times,inheriting mature experience,and making up for practical deficiencies,five levels of patriotism education strategies are put forward.Joint efforts in education,optimizing the supply of patriotic education content,enhancing the effect of patriotic education carriers,and innovating patriotic education mechanisms.These strategies provide reference and follow for patriotism education from the theoretical and practical levels,and have important practical significance.
