Abstract/Summary:
Henri·Dutilleux is a French composer with a unique style. He never included himself in any music genre of the 20 th century. His works have been paid more and more attention by the domestic music industry in recent years because of his strong audibility, hazy and nimble orchestration techniques, and the innovation and uniqueness of the music structure. As a French composer,he praised the preference of other composers in his country(from Faure,Debussy to Messiean)for scales, especially artificial scales, and also praised Proust and Baudelaire’s stream-of-consciousness literary narrative methods, and absorbed and borrowed them as the narrative methods of his musical works. The description of time, space and memory in his works has a special way of construction, and his well-known creation technology-"progressive growth"(gradual growth of the theme in music)symbolizes the repetition of time and the reincarnation of memory. This paper focuses on Dutilleux’s last two orchestral works. The configuration of the two works is almost the same. They are mainly sopranos and orchestras, and both of them use the accordion as the color timbre. In the use of writing technology, there has been a significant change in the style compared with that in the middle period-the language is more concise, and the "progressive growth" structure and expansion method in the middle period is no longer used significantly, but each piece of music is shorter, independent, similar to several isolated sound clips. In the use of timbre,it also breaks through the traditional people’s imagination of soprano and band, and uses the voice as an instrument to balance, echo and integrate with the band.In the use of pitch structure, the central chord, central tone and central tone, which are mature in the early and middle stages, are still reflected in these two works, but there are also more language features in the late romantic period. In structure,it more reflects the composer’s late love for "symmetry" and "mirror image".Therefore,it is of great practical significance for the creator to analyze the creative techniques in his later works in the form of a three-year master’s thesis. The research of this paper focuses on the late creation techniques and characteristics of the composer, which is of great value for a complete understanding of Dutilleux’s life’s creation. His treatment of music in the late stage tends to be romantic in the late stage-simple,clean and concrete, which has high learning value and application value for my master’s creation and training。...
