Xi Jinping’s Important Discussion On Red Culture

Culture is not only the spiritual product accumulated in human social history,but also an indispensable spiritual tool to promote the economic and political development of human society.The history of a country determines its culture,while the mainstream culture of a country drives its future.In the socialist cultural system with Chinese characteristics,the red culture has witnessed the 100 year hard journey and brilliant deeds of the CPC from its birth to leading the people all the way,and is the core force of the red country.Xi Jinping has visited revolutionary old areas multiple times for investigation and research,told red stories multiple times,emphasized the need to make good use of red resources,inherit red genes,continue red blood,and ensure that the red river and mountain will never change color.He has expressed his understanding of red culture and deployment of red culture work in different occasions,forming a series of important discussions on red culture.Based on the analysis and integration of research achievements at home and abroad of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on red culture,this article is divided into three parts to specifically elaborate on it:first,it defines the concept of red culture,analyzes the relationship between red culture and socialist culture with Chinese characteristics,and analyzes the era background of this important discourse from the perspective of the unprecedented changes in the world in a century and the "two overall situations" of the great rejuvenation strategy of the Chinese nation,indicate that this important statement conforms to the trend of history and the requirements of the development of the times.Then it explores the theoretical origin of this important exposition from two aspects: the cultural views of Marxist classical writers and the relevant statements of the leaders of the CPC on red culture.Secondly,on the basis of understanding and analyzing Xi Jinping’s series of speeches and related works,this thesis analyzes the main contents of this important discourse from four aspects: making good use of red cultural resources,inheriting red genes,keeping red blood,and ensuring that red rivers and mountains will neverchange color,and summarizes the three distinctive features of this important discourse,namely,the unity of nationality and cosmopolitanism,the unity of inheritance and innovation,and the unity of theory and practice.Finally,it expounds the era value of this important exposition.In terms of theoretical value,it inherits and develops Marxist cultural construction theory,enriches and innovates socialist cultural theory with Chinese characteristics,and constructs and expands the disciplinary development system of red culture.In terms of practical value,accelerate the construction of a strong cultural country,vigorously cultivate successors of red culture,and effectively promote thedevelopment of ruralrevitalization.
