As a common linguistic phenomenon appeared in language communication,blessing language is regarded as civilized symbol and cultural accumulation.It exists in various kinds of language culture including not only Chinese but also French culture.The paper attempts to provide basic studies for foreign Chinese teaching through contrastive analysis between Chinese and French blessing languages cover the post shortage simultaneously.The main results were as follows:(1)Chinese blessing language can be divided into zhufuyu and zhuheyu according to the semantic properties of the marked words,while French blessing language can be divided into informal(everyday)situations and formal situations based on pragmatics.(2)The difference between Chinese and French blessing language overt marking is mainly in the words of blessing,embodying as some aspects of syntactic distribution、valency and syntactic structure.The covert marking are mostly accompanied by fixed expressions.(3)In addition to the common blessing topics such as wishing the New Year,wishing work/study,and wishing birthday,the Chinese blessing topic also involves wishing for a numerous family of children and blessing of the motherland,while the French blessing topic contains expressions with religious culture.Moreover,in the special communication situation of birthday celebration,the understanding of animals and plants with longevity in the two countries is not exactly the same.(4)The Chinese blessing language,which was created in the context of Wufu culture and Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism,reflects the concept of collectivism and the traditional virtue of respecting the elderly and taking care of the young,while the French blessing language,which was created in the context of French romance and religion,reflects the concept of individualism and privacy.(5)There are four types of acquisition biases when overseas students learn Chinese blessing language,including omission,misgeneration,misaddition,and misorder,and these four types of biases can be found in three aspects:negative transfer of native language,generalization of target language knowledge,and cultural differences.This study can provide reference for the contrastive study of Chinese and French blessing languages,cross-cultural communication and teaching of Chinese blessing language.
