Wang Anshi’s Political Ethics Thought And Its Contemporary Value

Political philosophy is a very active field in the current academic community,and plays a very important role in the political history of China.Wang Anshi,who led the famous political event reform,the Xining Reform,stood out among many politicians and thinkers with political philosophy.While governing the social issues of the Northern Song Dynasty,Wang Anshi also expressed his unique political theoretical and ideological views.The emergence of Wang Anshi’s political and ethical thoughts is inextricably linked to the social and historical roots,humanistic thoughts,and historical origins of that time.After the establishment of the Northern Song Dynasty,due to contradictions within the feudal society,as well as various errors in the formulation of basic national policies,military policy systems,and political facilities by Zhao Kuangyin in order to strengthen the highly centralized feudal monarchical autocratic system,after less than half a century of development,there have been increasingly serious crises in social,political,economic,and military aspects,and increasingly prominent issues have led to people’s resistance to government rule;Under this historical background,Wang Anshi took practical problems as the starting point,revealing the root causes of the problems,and his political theoretical thoughts also emerged as the times require.It can be said that Wang Anshi’s thoughts and actions are a response to his era and environment.Political ethics permeate various stages of political reform and social development,and Wang Anshi’s political ethics thoughts are no exception.The first part of the article starts from the era of Wang Anshi and his own personality traits and philosophical foundation,leading to the basic content of Wang Anshi’s political and ethical thoughts in the second part of the article;The third part of the article mainly merges and discusses Wang Anshi’s political ethics thoughts with the construction of contemporary Chinese social political ethics,excavates and discovers the rich Chinese characteristics of political ethics thoughts,and integrates them with China’s political construction,which is of great significance for promoting China’s political democracy construction.
