| Dan Zhaoyi,the famous piano educator of China,is the pioneer of modern piano education in China and has made a great contribution to the cause of piano education in China,with more than twenty Chinese piano works composed in a strong national style with both technical and artistic characteristics.In this article,the piano works of Dan Zhaoyi are reviewed and discussed in three chapters.The first chapter introduces Dan Zhaoyi’s biography,and organises the chronology and motivation of all his piano compositions in the light of his life experiences;the second chapter explores the general characteristics of Dan Zhaoyi’s piano compositions,summarises the characteristics of the compositional themes,and selects representative works to analyse melody,rhythm,harmony,and the musical vocabulary of ethnic materials in specific scores,so as to interpret the ethnicisation of his piano compositions.The third chapter examines the pedagogical value of the three main categories of piano composition: children’s piano works,solo pieces,and Chinese style exercises,in order to interpret the pedagogical significance of his piano compositions in a targeted manner.Through the study and analysis of Dan Zhaoyi’s piano compositions,the author hopes to achieve two objectives: firstly,to compile and excavate Dan Zhaoyi’s excellent Chinese piano music works,and to broaden the scope of the study of Chinese piano music works;secondly,to attract more performers to learn Dan Zhaoyi’s piano music compositions,and to spread the excellent national music culture. |
