| In recent years,subjective well-being has become the core concept of positive psychology and has attracted wide attention.When senior primary school students are about to enter adolescence,it is particularly important to pay attention to the cultivation of subjective well-being for their mental health development.In this study,parental psychological control is selected to discuss its relationship with the subjective well-being of senior primary school students,and emotional intelligence is introduced as the mediating variable to explore how emotional intelligence plays a role as the mediating variable.Based on this,a group counseling program is developed to intervene in the emotional intelligenceof senior primary school students,and its effect on improving the subjective well-being of senior primary school students is tested by improving the level of emotional intelligence.This study consists of two parts:In the first study,an online questionnaire survey was conducted among 658 senior primary school students in Wuhan and Jinan using the Parental Psychological Control Scale,Emotional Intelligence Scale and Subjective Well-being Scale,and 595 valid questionnaires were obtained.SPSS 26.0 and PROCESS 3.5 plug-ins were used to analyze and process the data.The purpose of this study is to analyze the current situation and relationship among parents’ psychological control,emotional intelligence and subjective well-being of senior primary school students,as well as the mediating role of emotional intelligence in predicting the relationship between parents’ psychological control and subjective well-being.In the second study,a group auxiliary program of emotional intelligence was designed according to the theory of emotional intelligence.According to the results of study 1,24 senior primary school students with low scores of emotional intelligence and subjective well-being were screened out and randomly divided into experimental group and control group.Group counseling of emotional intelligence was given to the experimental group,while no counseling was given to the control group.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)In the sample of this study,the parents of senior primary school students have a lower level of psychological control,a higher overall level of emotional intelligence,and a relatively high level of subjective well-being.(2)There are no significant differences in parental psychological control,emotional intelligence and subjective well-being among senior primary school students.There is no significant gender difference in emotional intelligence and subjective well-being of senior primary school students,while there is a significant gender difference in parental psychological control,which is significantly higher for boys than for girls.(3)Parental psychological control negatively predictes the subjective well-being of senior primary school students,parental psychological control negatively predicted emotional intelligence,and emotional intelligence positively predictes the subjective well-being of senior primary school students.(4)Emotional intelligence plays a partial mediating role in predicting the relationship between parental psychological control and subjective well-being.(5)Emotional intelligence group counseling program can effectively improve the emotional intelligence and subjective well-being of senior primary school students. |
