This study mainly includes two aspects. One is to conduct a quantitative evaluation of college students nationwide using the Five Factor Mindfulness Scale, the Chinese version of the Positive/Negative Attentional Bias Scale, and the College Student Subjective Well-being Scale.A total of 675 questionnaires were distributed, and 611 valid questionnaires were provided to understand the level of mindfulness, attentional bias, and subjective well-being to explore the relationship among the three, and to analyze the mediating effect of attentional bias between mindfulness and subjective well-being.Secondly,based on the survey data from Study 1,20 college students were recruited and selected from a university in Wuhan as research subjects, including 10 in the experimental group and 10 in the control group. The pretest and posttest evaluations were conducted on college students using the Five Factor Mindfulness Scale, the Chinese Version of Positive/Negative Attentional Bias Scale, and the College Student Subjective Well-being Scale to explore whether MBCT mindfulness group training has a positive effect on improving the level of mindfulness, attentional bias, and subjective well-being of college students. After data analysising, the two studies reached the following conclusions:(1)There are significant differences in mindfulness, positive attentional bias, negative attentional bias, and subjective well-being among college students and their various dimensions in demographic variables.Among them, there are significant differences in mindfulness level in gender, student origin, college type, grade, major, and monthly consumption level, significant differences in positive attentional bias in college type, major type, and monthly consumption level, significant differences in negative attentional bias in gender, and significant differences in subjective well-being in gender, student origin, college type, grade, major, and monthly consumption level.(2)The overall levels of mindfulness, attentional bias, and subjective well-being are correlated in pairs.Among them, mindfulness has a significant positive correlation with positive attentional bias,a significant negative correlation with negative attentional bias, and a positive correlation with subjective well-being;Subjective well-being is positively correlated with positive attentional bias and negatively correlated with negative attentional bias.(3)Mindfulness can positively predict positive attentional bias and subjective well-being,and negatively predict the level of negative attentional bias.Positive attentional bias can significantly positively predict the high level of subjective well-being of college students, and negative attentional bias can significantly negatively predict the subjective well-being of college students.attentional bias partially mediates between mindfulness and subjective well-being.(4)Mindfulness group training can effectively improve college students’ mindfulness level, effectively reduce their negative attentional bias, and significantly improve their subjective well-being and self satisfaction. |
