Study On The Spatial Distribution And Accessibility Of Red Villages In Hubei Province

Hubei is a large province of red culture,with a long revolutionary history,many red celebrities,strong cultural heritage,and a wide range of red villages covering cities and counties,with important historical,cultural and economic values.By sorting out and screening 564 red villages in Hubei Province,this paper systematically studies the types,spatial and temporal distribution characteristics and accessibility of red villages in Hubei Province,and finally puts forward a series of strategies to help form the overall protection and continuous development of red villages in Hubei Province.(1)The distribution of red villages in Hubei Province is rich and diverse,with small undulating mountains,abundant water sources,and dense distribution of areas close to traffic arteries,the number of red villages between cities varies greatly,and the overall distribution is four-step ladder,the red villages at the junction of administrative districts are distributed in groups,and the number of revolutionary sites inside some red villages is large and distributed in clusters.(2)The red villages in Hubei Province are generally distributed in a "cohesive type",with uneven distribution in the whole area and a large difference in distribution density between regions,showing a wavy spatial structure of "one main,two pairs,three belts and multiple points",forming a high-density agglomeration area and multiple cross-border cluster clusters.(3)From the perspective of the types of red villages:(1)The red villages of important institutions and important conference sites form a high-density core area with Hong’an County as the core and radiating Dawu,Xiaochang and Macheng areas.(2)The distribution of red villages such as former residences,old residences,activity sites or cemeteries of important figures is mainly concentrated in the northeast Hubei region with Hong’an as the core.(3)Important events and major battle sites,and relics red villages are concentrated in the Hubei-Yuwan base area and the Baxinggui base area,showing a pattern of "one master and one pair".(4)Red villages with important influence where martyrs’ deeds took place or graveyards have a wide distribution and large number,and the density is the highest in Huanggang.(5)Monuments(towers,halls)and other buildings form a high-density area in the Hubei-Yuwan base area with Dabie Mountain as the core,and the Xiangxi Revolutionary Base Area and Yichang area centered on Honghu Lake form a sub-highdensity area,showing a pattern of "one main and two pairs".(4)Through the construction of the red village evaluation index system,the red village will be given priority development level,key development level and comprehensive development level.The priority development level red villages show a distribution pattern of "more east and less west",forming a high-density area with Hong’an County and the western part of Macheng as the core,the key development level red villages form a pattern of "one main and three deputies",and the comprehensive development level red villages are more densely distributed in northeast Hubei,and form sub-high-density areas in the three regions of western Hubei,Honghu and southeast Hubei.(5)From the perspective of the evolution of time and space: the former residences of red cultural celebrities during the founding of the Communist Party of China and the Great Revolution were concentrated and distributed in Hong’an and Dawu,the construction of red villages and rural revolutionary bases during the agrarian revolution was rapid,the Soviet government blossomed everywhere,the red villages during the All-out War of Resistance with "Tuanfeng-Hong’an-Dawu" as the core of the Hubei-Yubian region were high-density areas,the Fifth Division of the New Fourth Army bred in Baiguoshuwan Village became the mainstay of the anti-Japanese resistance in central China,and the red villages during the Liberation War were high-density areas with the Dabie Mountain area with Huanggang as the core.The troops of the Central Plains Military Region led by Li Xiannian launched a breakthrough in Xuanhuadian Town and fired the first shot of the Liberation War;After the founding of New China,with the Hubei-Hubei border as the first density core,the monument composed the great Dabie Mountain spirit.(6)Considering the physical geographical elements and transportation network conditions,the accessibility of red villages is significantly different between the eastern and western regions,the overall presents the characteristics of "high in the east and low in the west",and the high accessibility area presents an obvious spatial pattern of "three rings,four verticals and five horizontals",bounded by the Xuguang Expressway,most of eastern Hubei with Wuhan as the center along the road presents an obvious "ring + network" structure,and only a "grid" structure distribution in western Hubei,with obvious traffic directivity.The overall accessibility of the red village shows a step structure that gradually weakens from east to west in space,and the eastern Hubei is strong and the western Hubei is weak from a local point of view.The accessibility characteristics of red villages in different historical stages,different types and levels are slightly different,showing obvious branch characteristics such as "core-edge" and "point-axis-aggregation area" along the main traffic arteries.
