Study On Square Poetics Writen By Shi Tianhe

Square Poetics is the only poetic work that Shi Tianhe has written in his life,and it is a rare poetic theory monograph with a relatively open poetic horizon in contemporary academia.This work is based on his rich experience in poetry creation,combined with his own unique experience,on the basis of the integration of ancient and modern,Chinese and Western poetic traditions,and his unique approach to poetic creation,and is also a concentrated presentation of his poetic views.This paper focuses on Shi Tianhe and his poetic work Square Poetics,taking Square Poetics as the core,exploring the poetic views presented in this book,digging deeper into Shi Tianhe’s poetic construction and poetic characteristics,and analyzing Shi Tianhe’s poetics in the context of the history of contemporary poetry theory.The contribution,influence,and contemporary value of Shi Tianhe’s poetics are analyzed in the context of the history of Chinese poetic theory.The purpose of this article is,on the one hand,to further understand the deeds and poetic perspectives of this poet who spans modern and contemporary literature.On the other hand,explore the impact and value of Shi Tianhe’s poetic theory on the development of modern Chinese poetry and poetics.Based on the reading of Square Poetics,we can find that the poetic thinking and poetic construction are more prominent,and the unique themes of "poetics as anthropology" and "poetics of modernity" are more distinctly presented,forming a new aesthetic tendency of poetry.Therefore,this paper starts from four parts: "toward the square","explanation of doubts","humanistic investigation" and "modern character".The relationship between these four parts is parallel,and each part has its own main purpose: the first part,"toward the square" can trace the poetic starting point of Square Poetics.The second part,"explanation of doubts" can peek into the poetic purpose of the book.The third part "humanistic investigation" explores the book’s sense of subjectivity.The fourth part,"modern character" explores the book’s spirit of the times.The four parts seem to be independent,but they have an internal logic and need to be connected in order to conduct a complete and systematic study of Shi Tianhe’s Square Poetics.After analyzing the four characteristics of Poetics of the Square,we will explore the literary-historical significance and contemporary value of Square Poetics in the history of Chinese contemporary modern poetry,and reflect on the reasons for the neglect of Square Poetics and its revelations to us.The first part starts from the feature of Square Poetics of "toward the square".Through a close reading of the text,we analyze the metaphorical meaning of "square",the reason for "toward the square" and the construction of "square" in Square Poetics.The analysis of the construction of the "square" in the book starts from three dimensions: the "square" that connects the ancient and the modern,the "square" that is between public and personal discourse,and the "square" that intervenes in the tendency of "realistic discourse".This chapter concludes that Square Poetics,with the name "square",proposes "square consciousness" uniquely and "towards the square" as the starting point of Shi Tianhe’s poetics,constructing an all-encompassing "square",which is of great significance at the intellectual and social levels and leads the overall direction of his poetics.The second part starts from the characteristic of Square Poetics of "explanation of doubts",and starts to sort out the poetic issues raised in the book,mainly by analyzing three dimensions of poetic style,poetic form and essentialist poetics,and discusses how Shi Tianhe "clears doubts" and "unblocks".This chapter concludes that Square Poetics focuses on the many questions that exist in contemporary poetic research,and that Shi Tianhe’s scientific analysis of a series of ambiguous and unspecified poetic questions makes the book clearly relevant,purposeful and practical,with a distinct "problem awareness".The aim of Square Poetics is to "clear the doubts and solve the problems",and to "break the confusion" and to "enlighten the wisdom" of poetics,which has an important role in enlightening the present.The third part starts from the feature of "humanistic investigation" of Square Poetics.Through the close reading of this text and sociological research methods,we mainly analyzes the anthropological background and the attempts to view the poetic writing from an anthropological perspective in the book,and explores the three dimensions of the original process,the secondary process and the expression process according to the logic of the book,and concludes that the "humanistic investigation" is one of the most significant features of Square Poetics and Shi Tianhe’s poetic system.It is the presentation of the sense of subjectivity in this book,which advocates the proposition that "poetics is humanology" and explores the unique humanistic aesthetic tendency.The fourth part starts from the feature of "modern character" of Square Poetics.We analyze the background of the transformation of modernity through the close reading of this text and sociological research,and explore how the character of modernity in Square Poetics is constructed from four dimensions: modern consciousness,modern thinking,modern vision and modern discourse.Besides,we propose the viewpoint of "dialectical poetics" in this book.This chapter concludes that Square Poetics is full of prominent "modernity",which is a symbol of the spirit of the times that shines in the book.The modern consciousness of questioning,criticism and reflection,scientific dialectical thinking,empirical empirical thinking,modern vision and modern discourse presented in the book are of great practical guidance.The "modern character" presented in Square Poetics is mainly reflected in the provision of a new scientific approach to poetry research and criticism,focusing on the application of specific poetry theory analysis and criticism,and building a new theoretical framework and critical paradigm.Through the deep Study of Square Poetics,we find that "toward the square","explanation of doubts","humanistic investigation" and "modern character " are not only the distinctive features of the book,but also the concentrated embodiment of Shi Tianhe’s poetic system.The "square consciousness","problem consciousness","subjectivity consciousness" and "modernity consciousness" embedded in it are of great relevance in this book.Square Poetics is not only a treatise on modern poetics,but also a treatise on poetics as a whole,aiming at the construction of poetry and poetic theory as a whole,including classical poetic discourse,contemporary poetry theory and foreign poetics.The uniqueness of Square Poetics lies not only in the summary,induction,and integration of the Chinese poetic theory,and in the "explanation of doubts" of the poetic theory,but also in its systematicity and originality,which is a great project,contributing to the innovation of poetic concepts and poetic research,and to the development of contemporary Chinese poetry.It has a certain supplementary effect on the construction of the Chinese poetic system.
