Applied Research On The Psychological Function Of Color In Expressionist Painting

The core of expressionist painting is not to imitate reality,it comes from the artist’s subjective spirit,reflecting a strong personal emotional color.Expressionist artists exaggerated,deformed,and recreated objective images through contemplation,trying to depict the emotions or ideals deep in the soul on the canvas.Expressionist artists usually used bold colors,which is one of the important factors that contribute to their strong visual appeal.However,as far as color ontology is concerned,it mainly includes physical properties and psychological experience for people.The psychological function of color is affected by many aspects,and the visual perception it brings to each person is also different.Therefore,the foothold of this article is in expressionist painting.On the exploration of the psychological factors of color.This article is divided into four chapters.The first chapter mainly discusses the development overview color psychology,and briefly describes the visual perception and psychological association of color,such as the sense of weight,cold and warm,etc.;the second chapter first explains the performance The origin and development of expressionist painting,and analyze the color characteristics of expressionist painting from the representative works of expressionist artists;the third chapter mainly lists The connection and application of the psychological function of color in expressionist painting The last chapter is the understanding and application of psychology function of color in my painting practice.Through the research of this topic,I have a new understanding of expressionist painting and color,and provide theoretical reference for future creative practice.
