Investigation And Study Of Tongren Dongshan Ancient Building Complex

Tongren Dongshan Ancient Building Complex is located on the north bank of Jinjiang River,Bijiang District,Tongren City.It was built in the early Ming Dynasty.Most of the existing buildings are relics of the Qing Dynasty.Since the establishment of Tongren Mansion,with the stabilization of Tongren society,the rapid development of the commodity economy and the continuous deepening of ethnic exchanges and exchanges,Dongshan ancient architectural complex has been continuously rebuilt and expanded in the late Ming Dynasty,early Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China,gradually forming an ancient Ming and Qing Dynasties architectural complex integrating temples,halls,residential houses,shops,city walls and wharves.The current pattern of the Dongshan ancient architectural complex is closely related to the scale and its natural,historical and cultural environment.In particular,thanks to the economic advantages brought by the Tongren Jinjiang Water Transport since the Ming and Qing Dynasties,its construction is the epitome of Tongren’s urban development since the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Dongshan Ancient Building Complex also leaves inscriptions,wood carvings,stone carvings and color painting materials,carrying local folk activities and aesthetic orientation.These physical materials show the history and inheritance of Dongshan Ancient Architectural Complex from the side,highlighting the historical,artistic and educational value of Dongshan Ancient Architectural Complex.Dongshan Ancient Building Complex was announced as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 2006.Tongren Dongshan Ancient Building Complex has a history of more than 600 years since its construction in the Ming Dynasty,as the core landmark of Tongren City,it has witnessed the exchange and integration of multiple ethnic groups and cultures,and is an important cultural heritage of Tongren City,and its investigation and research will help to dig deeper into the regional cultural connotation of Tongren City.During the investigation,it was found that in the protection and utilization of Dongshan ancient buildings,there were problems such as damage by natural factors,reconstruction and addition,lack of cultural connotation,untimely information update,and inconsistent management standards.In order to better protect and utilize the ancient buildings of Dongshan,in view of the existing problems,relevant suggestions were put forward to strengthen the daily supervision of ancient buildings,improve residents’ participation in protection,carry forward the original cultural connotation of ancient buildings and attach importance to the construction of cultural relics archives.
