| Pingtang County,known as the "City of the Eye of Heaven",is located in the south of Guizhou Province and is part of the Qiannan Buyi Miao Autonomous Prefecture.With thousands of years history and rich cultural heritage,Pingtang has left behind a rich heritage of important historical and cultural values in the course of its production and life,which is rich in numbers and types.At present,there are 86 immovable cultural heritage sites in Pingtang County,of which 32 are clearly listed as cultural heritage protection units and 54 unclassified immovable cultural heritage sites.2021,the General Office of the State Council issued the "14th Five-Year Plan" for the protection of cultural relics and scientific and technological innovation,clarifying the importance of cultural heritage protection.On 22 July 2022,the National Conference on Cultural Heritage Work was held in Beijing,signalling a whole new step forward in the development of cultural heritage.In light of this,the report conducted an in-depth survey of 32 heritage conservation units in Pingtang County by way of field research,by reviewing and studying the discourses of previous scholars on heritage conservation units and the historical and cultural aspects of Pingtang County.Firstly,according to the administrative division of Pingtang County,cultural relics protection units are mainly distributed in 11 townships,namely Tongbian,Keduo,Ya Zhou,Jinpen Street,Zemian,Ping Zhou,Datang,Tongzhou,Jiacha,Pangbu and Kapo,mainly in Qing Dynasty in time,followed by modern times.According to the type of cultural relics,the cultural relics protection units in Pingtang County can be divided into ancient sites,ancient buildings,ancient tombs,cliff carvings and modern important historical sites and representative buildings,including one ancient site,six ancient buildings,four ancient tombs,18 cliff carvings and three modern important historical sites and representative buildings.Secondly,through the classification of heritage protection units,a comprehensive analysis of the current state of conservation of the five major types of heritage protection units in Pingtang County is presented.At the same time,by comparing some of the cultural relics with the preservation status and causes of destruction in the third national cultural relics census,the changes and developments in cultural relics protection units in Pingtang County over the past decade are revealed.The current state of preservation is uneven,with the main categories being good,fairly good,poor and fairly poor.In terms of natural factors,they are mainly damaged by wind and rain erosion due to the heat-rich and high precipitation characteristics of the Pingtang area.In terms of human factors,it is mainly influenced by production and living activities.Once again,through the 32 cultural heritage protection units involved in the report,research and analysis of their "four" work of the basic situation.At the same time,according to the relevant information,their use is divided into six categories:open visitation,educational sites,religious activities,agricultural production,unoccupied and other uses,and analysis of their current use.The use of cultural heritage protection units in Pingtang County is diversified,and the people’s use and protection of them is also uneven.Finally,through the survey and analysis,it was found that the conservation of cultural heritage units in Pingtang County is worthy of recognition in terms of protection,management and use,while there are also some problems to be solved.The main problems are natural and man-made damage,the lack of "four" work in place,the lack of professionals,the weak awareness of the public of heritage conservation,the slow progress of conservation repair work of heritage conservation units,a single source of funding and unreasonable mode of use.In response to the above problems,the report puts forward relevant recommendations from three aspects of heritage conservation,management and utilization. |
