The Historical Narrative Of Chinese Science Fiction In The New Century

This paper focuses on the historical narrative of Chinese science fiction in the new century.On the basis of combing and summarizing the narrative types of Chinese historical science fiction,this paper makes in-depth analysis and interpretation of relevant texts with reference to science fiction theory,in order to explore the background causes and aesthetic characteristics of Chinese science fiction historical narratives since the new century.It is mainly divided into four chapters.The first chapter summarizes the two major types of historical narratives of Chinese science fiction since the new century.Since the beginning of the new century,some historical science fiction novels have been based on the scientific laws of faithful history,selected the blank space of history as the birthplace of imagination,and developed historical imagination on the basis of not changing the original history,trying to restore the historical time and space under the scientific concept.In addition,there are some novels that directly reverse and reconstruct historical time and space through the power of technology,making science fiction present a meta-historical concept.The second chapter explores the reasons for the flourishing of historical narratives in Chinese science fiction since the new century,mainly starting from the keywords of "science fiction" and "national history".The author believes that the revival of science and technology is a major motivation for some science fiction writers to pre-empt the industrial revolution to the feudal dynasty in their creations.In addition,under the guidance of the spirit of enlightenment,the construction of "capital people" with the participation of science and technology is also an important motivation for some science fiction writers to carry out historical narratives.Chapter 3 continues the ideas of Chapter 2 and continues to explore another level of the causes of the influence of the historical narrative genre of Chinese science fiction at the beginning of the new century,that is,the influence of cultural trends on writers’ historical narratives and historical views.The author believes that the creation of historical science fiction in the new century is influenced by the new historicist trend and the market,and through the dissolution of the sublime of technology,the joke and imagination of history is unfolded.This chapter expounds on the changes in science fiction novelists’ historical outlook under the influence of social trends,and the embodiment of this change in historical narrative from three aspects: absurd high technology and historical heroes,entertainment consumerism and the dissolution of technological sublime,infinite flow narrative and the historical nihilism behind it.Chapter 4 focuses on the aesthetic characteristics of Chinese historical science fiction since the new century,and in this paper emphasizes the novelty of the collision of classical Eastern spirit and Western scientific spirit when using national history as a cultural resource.Based on this,the paper also focuses on a number of sci-fi historical narratives that have emerged in recent years that promote the spirit of oriental craftsmanship,and discusses the current efforts and future possibilities of some young science fiction novelists to practice science fiction localization by historical narrative from the aspects of silk aesthetics and technical philosophy.
