The Red Culture is an important part of the socialist culture with Chinese characteristics.Inheriting the Red Culture and continuing the blood are significant for consolidating Party building, overcoming the spiritual crisis, building ideological consensus, and telling the Chinese story well.In recent years, the innovation of information and communication technology is leading mankind into the era of omnimedia. The great changes in the mode of communication have reconstructed people’s thinking and behavior patterns. The openness and risks in the ideological field are increasing day by day,and then the security of China’s socialist ideology is facing more challenges. The construction of a contemporary inheritance mechanism for Red Culture has become an urgent issue to be solved. At present, the work of inheriting the Red Culture has made a remarkable achievement. However,it still has problems of audience’s thinking, narrative methods, discourse system and social environment. It is necessary to realize that the inheritance of Red Culture contains contradictions at three levels including interest demands, educational methods and practice methods, and to deal with the relationship between individual interests and class interests, spontaneity and consciousness, inheritance subject and object. It is necessary to adhere to the guiding principles of the unity of inheritance and development, dominance and initiative, academic rationality and affinity. It is important to combine with Marxist theory and relevant theories of communication, making good use of the favorable conditions of “four aspects of omnimedia”,and to explore the innovative path of Red Culture inheritance from three aspects: text, media, and feedback.
