Félix Vallotton was born in Switzerland and moved to Paris to settle.His artistic career is more diverse.He has tried many painting themes and types of painting.The introduction of Ukiyo-e in Japan has a close connection.He is good at boldly composition to make the picture and have a sense of form,and plane to achieve the characteristics of flat decoration.Many differences,his works have both classicism,but also combine with modernist colors that are reflected in the times,forming a unique form of painting in painting.This article focuses on the formal language of Valo Dong’s characters.It mainly provides an interpretation basis for the formation of Valodon’s life and social background,as well as the source of his works,and his origin of his works;secondly East character works are explained in terms of the language characteristics of the language,and compared with other artists’ works on the same theme of other artists,then analyze the inheritance of classic painting inheritance and the innovation of formal language.Organize,put forward some feelings after studying the works of Valodon and the inspiration of the author’s creation.
