The Erhu work "Fast Snow Is Clear" is based on the "Fast Snow Is Clear" written by Wang Xizhi,a calligrapher in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and its main musical material comes from the Peking Opera "Fast Snow is Clear" with the same title by Zhong Yaoguang,a Taiwanese composer. The work mainly expresses the protagonist’s life sigh of "hometown, hometown, where is hometown" as he considers how to settle down in the war-torn era. This paper takes the Erhu work "Fast Snow and Clear Weather" as the research object, elaborates on three aspects of the work’s interpretation, performance characteristics and performance interpretation, discusses the interdependence of the combination of "sound","finger","string" and "meaning" from the perspective of performance practice, explores the pursuit of "harmony" beauty from the artistic interpretation of the work, and probes into the current use value of "harmony" beauty thought in music aesthetics and performance of the work.
