Based on the current situation of women’s rights and interests in the countries along the Belt and Road, this paper selects eleven evaluation indicators from three aspects: social participation, cultural and educational opportunities, and social security, and constructs an evaluation index system for women’s rights and interests.Using AHP analysis and mean square deviation, the system analyses and evaluates women’s rights and interests in each country, and measures the spatial distribution of women’s rights and interests in countries along the Belt and Road using the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index and the Spatial Aggregation Index of Women’s Rights and Interests. On this basis, the 48 countries along the Belt and Road are classified according to their religious, educational, economic and political differences, and recommendations are made for the development of women’s rights.Based on the comprehensive analysis of women’s rights and interests in China,India and Russia and the evaluation index of women’s rights and interests, this paper finds that the development of women’s rights and interests in East Asia and ASEAN is generally average;the development of women’s rights and interests in South Asia and West Asia is low;the development of women’s rights and interests in Central and Eastern Europe is good and is the highest along the Belt and Road;the development of women’s rights and interests in Central Asia and the CIS is moderate to low.Based on the analysis of the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index and the Spatial Agglomeration Index of Women’s Rights, this paper finds that,in terms of spatial dimension, the high value countries are mainly concentrated in the developed regions of Europe, while the low value countries are mainly concentrated in the less developed regions of South Asia. The high and low development of women’s rights among countries is related to the economic, political and cultural aspects of the country. In terms of the index dimension, women’s rights and interests are most concentrated in the CIS region among the low and medium-value countries, and more concentrated in the ASEAN region among the high-value countries and in Central Asia among the medium-value countries. From the point of view of religious culture, the Christian countries concentrated in Central and Eastern Europe have the highest rights and interests of women, and the Islamic countries concentrated in Central,Western and South Asia have the lowest rights and interests of women. The paper’s recommendations for the advancement of women’s rights in the countries along the route are: development of the national economy, progressive reform of the state, correct guidance of religious beliefs by the state and government, establishment of women’s NGOs,and cooperation with inter-state NGOs to promote the advancement of women.
