Reserch On The Design Of Monkey Image In Shanhaijing

"Shan Hai Jing" covers a wide range of content,including geography,biology,medicine,art,literature and so on,is the intersection of a variety of disciplines.Up to now,many scholars have interpreted Shanhaijing from the perspectives of mythology,history,geography and literature,but there is still a lot of space to study Shanhaijing.In this paper,the monkey image is chosen as the cut-in point from many different animal images recorded in the book of Mountains and seas.First of all,the cultural origin of monkey image is explored from the perspective of mystical totem theory,primitive life view and sorcery,and the creation of monkey image contains the ancient people’s desire for mystical power,studies the monkey image the cultural connotation and the Unceasingly Rich Monkey Culture Art.Then the text of the original text of the interpretation,summed up the monkey image of the characteristics and functional features of the Monkey Image of the appearance of features.This paper also carefully summarizes and sorts out the main extant picture books of the Ming and Qing dynasties,and makes a detailed comparison of the monkey image modeling style recorded in these books,and analyzes the collected modern painting works of the Book of Mountains and seas,thus provides the reference and the help for the later stage design.In the design part,combined with the previous theoretical research,the monkey image will be re-interpreted through the way of re-design,and presented through the carrier of the mask,not only can convey a certain interest,can also pass such a design to let more people pay attention to "Shan Hai Jing" and the Chinese traditional culture behind it.This article hopes to provide new ideas for the fusion of Chinese traditional culture and modern design,and inspire more designers to pay attention to the fantastic world in the book of Mountains and seas.
