This paper takes the "forgotten muse" Lei Yan in the field of modern literature as the research object, based on Lei Yan’s thesis performance, hoping to make Lei Yan escape from the research world. The literary research on Lei Yan is still in its infancy. This article is another exploration in this issue, trying to explore Xin Leiyan’s literary value and calling for the emergence of related research.Lei Yan’s three types of texts—local, nonsense, and history—in Zeng’s perspective on gender, thinking about topics such as "gender and rural","gender and ghost",and "gender and history",focusing on the expression of gender government and the structure of female subjects and so on.Based on the collection and arrangement of a large number of original materials, this article shows the true nature of Lei Yan’s creation. In terms of research methods, this paper adopts the theory of women’s justice and gender as the basis, and also "text" and "context",trying to avoid the blind spots of feminist research. This article is divided into an introduction(Chapter 1),three main chapters and a conclusion. The end of the article is an appendix, which contains seven tables of original data collection. In the chapter "Introduction",this paper first introduces the research object Lei Yan,and presents the author’s biography from four aspects: "Life History","Education History","Creation History" and "Literary and Artistic Activities";And Lei Yan’s related literature is reviewed to show the status quo of literary research in occupied areas and Lei Yan’s history of criticism and acceptance;finally, this paper introduces the research method, research significance and content structure. In the chapter "Gender and Native Land",this article, through Lei Yan’s female rural novel("The Rider on the White Horse"),finds that Lei Yan especially feels the suppression of female ethics by rural ethics, and the crux of it is "misogyny".With regard to the alienation of women’s bodies,Lei Yan uses this to write about the real life of rural women and to give the possibility of constructing the subject identity.Through this miraculous ritual, the female characters counteract the local ethics, and use this to know themselves and pursue their desires. In the chapter "Gender and Ghost",through Lei Yan’s female nonsense novels(centered on "The Ancient House"),we find that even in space, there are hidden gender politics: male alienation of female. And the extreme manifestation of this "alienation" is that the men of the Du family alienate women into female ghosts and crazy women.Lei Yan not only writes about men’s "ghostization" of women in the novel, but also writes about the process of women themselves from "ghostization" to "humanization",re-constructing the identity of female subjects, and at the same time impacting the patriarchal ethical order. And the expression of life consciousness in the nonsense becomes particularly tense. In the chapter "Gender and History",through Lei Yan’s female historical novels("The Carefree King " and "The Moan of Twilight "),we found that Lei Yan reshaped historical stories and narrated female history with a clear gender consciousness. The most eye-catching thing is Lei Yan’s choice of female narrator and male narrator,as well as their different interpretations. The fact that Lei Yan chooses to use "history" to speak freely makes us pay more attention to the colonial experience reflected in the novel. At the same time, the theme of freedom in the novel has more layers. In this way,we can get closer to the spiritual world of Lei Yan,a woman who lived and wrote in the enemy-occupied areas of North China.
