Red River Valley is a rare opera with minority elements in the long history of Chinese national opera,continuing the main line of "war and love" in the background of Chinese opera.Cher’s I was Born by the Yellow River shows Cher’s tragic life with its unique "narrative style" aria,which continues the subsequent development of the opera.Its novel creative techniques and strong artistic expression created a strong and kind female image.The opera excerpt I was Born by the Yellow River is a tragic aria sung by The Han Girl Cher in act 1,Scene 3.Based on the analysis of opera background and music ontology,this paper will take the mood of aria as a clue to fully explore the tragic connotation of the work and improve the ability of appreciation and analysis.And through the aria singing,the singer can deepen the understanding of the work and more accurately grasp the mood of the music.This paper includes three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The body is the main content of the article,including three parts.The first part is the tragic characteristics of I was Born by the Yellow River,Which analyzes the tragic characteristics of melody,rhythm and lyrics from the perspective of spectrum.The second part explores the tragic expression of character image building and singing analysis on the basis of music analysis.The third part sublimates the theme and further explores the aesthetic characteristics of tragedy.To explore the aesthetic value of tragedy can not only reflect the humanistic connotation,but also have significance for vocal music singing.
