Chinese quantifiers are numerous and rich.They are outstanding features distinguish Chinese from other languages.For second language learners it is even more difficult to learn and it is also the focus of international Chinese education teaching.Textbooks are the basis for teaching and learning,so it is especially important to study the arrangement of quantifiers in textbooks.The Chinese Language Proficiency Standard for International Chinese Language Education is an important basis for the development of international Chinese language education materials,and should be used as the outline for others in the new era.The large number and richness of quantifiers is the outstanding feature that distinguish Chinese from other languages,and it is a difficult for learners of Chinese as a second language,and it is also the focus of international Chinese education.Textbooks is the basis for teaching and learning,and the research on the arrangement of quantifiers in textbooks is particularly important.Chinese Proficiency Grading Standards for International Chinese Language Education is an important basis for the compilation of international Chinese education textbooks,and the compilation of Chinese textbooks in the new era should be based on it.This paper selects the comprehensive series of textbooks Experiencing Chinese(High School 1 to 4 volumes),which is widely used in Thailand,using text analysis method,data statistics method and comparative analysis method,and starting from the five aspects of quantifiers distribution,reproduction,new word setting,grammar point arrangement,and practice setting,conducts a comprehensive statistics and analysis of quantifiers in the textbook,and finds that the textbook contains a total of 87 quantifiers,including 40 primary quantifiers and 47 intermediate quantifiers.From the perspective of categories,individual quantifiers accounted for the largest proportion 47.1%;borrowed verb quantifiers accounted for the smallest proportion,1.1%.The reproduction rate of quantifiers is low,with a total of 66 new quantifiers words and 9 grammar points of quantifiers,and the practice of quantifiers is basically based on new words and grammar points.At the same time,a comprehensive statistics were made on the distribution of quantifiers in the Chinese Proficiency Grading Standards for International Chinese Language Education,including 77 primary quantifiers,51 middle quantifiers,and 41 quantifier grammar points of quantifiers,and it was found that the quantifiers were mainly distributed in the primary and middle levels in the "three levels".After matching and analyzing the Experiencing Chinese and the Chinese Proficiency Grading Standards for International Chinese Language Education,we found that the number of quantifiers and quantifier grammar points in the textbook was far from the requirements of the latest standard,and there was a problem that the grades did not correspond to each other.According to the above research results,The author put forward the arrangement of quantifiers: the textbook should appropriately increase the number of quantifiers and quantifier grammar points,balance the proportion of various quantifiers,increase the attention to the primary stage,strengthen the number of repetitions of quantifiers,set as many quantifiers as possible as new words to arouse students’ attention,and enhance the diversity and interest of exercises.
