Although the number of empty words is small,it is an important means of expressing meaning in Chinese.Because of the complexity and various usages,the preposition is a weak point in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.In the process of practical teaching,the author found that there are still many errors in the processing when foreign students use preposition “Suizhe” in intermediate levels and advanced stage.By referring to the previous research results,we found that the academic circles have achieved rich research success in various aspects of “X zhe” prepositions.However,most of them focus on the comparison with “X” prepositions,and lack of in-depth study of the preposition “Suizhe”in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.In order to research the specific reasons of errors and help students correctly master the preposition “Suizhe”,the author selects the preposition “Suizhe” as the research object of this paper.In this paper,the data analysis method and error analysis method are used to analyze the errors.The errors are divided into eight types according to the grammatical rules of the preposition “Suizhe”: the omission and the addition of the preposition “Suizhe”,misuse,ingredient missing,component redundancy,improper structure,the improper collocation and the compound errors.Improper structure and improper collocation are the main types of errors at all levels among this eight types,and the mixed use and component defect are the most obvious at the primary and middle stages.The reasons for the errors may be that foreign students are affected by the negative transfer of their mother tongue,The complexity of the preposition “Suizhe” itself and other similar words in Chinese,except for that which also influenced by the syllabus,dictionaries,textbooks and teachers’ teaching.At last,puts forward the teaching suggestions of preposition "Suizhe" in Chinese as a foreign language,which includes the improvement of grammar items in the outline,the improvement of explanation and practice in the textbook,and the improvement of speech tagging and explanation in the dictionary.It is suggested that the teaching materials and syllabus should improve the grammar points of the preposition “Suizhe”,teachers should teach knowledge points in stages according to the characteristics of the preposition“Suizhe” and relevant common structures.
