General Secretary Xi Jinping has emphasized many times that a strong youth makes a country strong,and youth is strong in many aspects,including not only ideological morality,academic performance,innovation ability,and hands-on ability,but also physical health,physical strength,and sportsmanship.In recent years,in the process of cultivating college students,incidents such as "college students being expelled" and "cheating in exams" have occurred frequently,which has aroused the continuous attention of the society to the problem of college students’ academic burnout.With the continuous enhancement of China’s strength,the role of college students’ sense of mission is becoming more and more obvious.Only with a strong sense of purpose can you have a direction in college and avoid academic burnout.Exploring the impact of college students’ sense of purpose on learning burnout and its mechanism under the background of China’s new era is of great significance and value for understanding college students and college students’ goal-cultivation work,and has practical significance for improving students’ goal awareness.Life meaning and life satisfaction.The research starts from the college students’ sense of purpose,discusses the level of academic burnout of college students,and focuses on the influence and psychological mechanism of college students’ sense of purpose and academic self-efficacy on academic burnout.Firstly,the structure of college students’ sense of purpose is discussed by interviews and qualitative research methods;then,combined with the structural characteristics of college students’ sense of purpose,the "Study of Goal Scale for College Students" is compiled,the status of academic self-efficacy and academic burnout,and explore the relationship between the three.The results of the research show that:(1)The results of qualitative research show that the initial structure of college students’ sense of purpose is: self-cognition,goal cognition,excitement,achievement,planning,firmness,and initiative.(2)A total of 24 items of the formal scale of college students’ sense of purpose have been compiled,which are divided into 4 dimensions,namely.The scale has good reliability and validity,and is suitable as a tool to measure college students’ sense of purpose.(3)The sense of purpose of college students is at a moderately high level,and the levels of academic self-efficacy and academic burnout are relatively high,and there are significant differences in the demographic variables of the three.(4)College students’ sense of purpose can significantly and negatively predict their academic burnout.(5)College students’ sense of purpose can significantly and positively predict their academic self-efficacy.(6)College students’ academic self-efficacy can significantly and negatively predict their academic burnout.(7)The results of path analysis show that academic self-efficacy has a mediating effect on the impact of college students’ sense of purpose on academic burnout.
