Research On Pattern Formation Of Huangmei Cross-Stitch Based On Shape Grammar

In the era when the efficiency of large-scale machine production is greatly improved,handicraft manufacturing is less and less dominant.Because the output of handicrafts is time-consuming and laborious,many people have to give up their skills and change careers,and handicraft skills face the dilemma of inheritance.The Huangmei cross-stitch pattern has a rich variety of patterns,and the themes of the patterns are selected from folk customs,which quite highlights the local cultural characteristics.This article collects the first-hand information of Huangmei cross-stitch,summarizes the typical patterns and analyzes the structure of the pattern from the macro and micro perspectives,and then combines the theory of shape grammar to extract the shapes and evolve the grammar rules of the patterns used by the embroiderers,and finally apply this theory to pattern innovation design.The research consists of 6 parts: the first part is an introduction;the second part is an overview of shape grammar theory,which introduces key concepts,connotations,and application fields,and has a preliminary understanding of the application of shape grammar theory;the third part is Huangmei Analysis of the constituent elements of cross-stitch patterns;the fourth part is to use the shape grammar theory to interpret Huangmei Peach Blossom,in-depth study of the structure of patterns with high frequency,and dismantle the process of final pattern generation.The fifth part is based on the evolution rules of the Huangmei cross-stitch pattern studied above,trying to design a pattern similar to its style,and providing a constructive theoretical method;the sixth part is the conclusion and outlook.
