Japanese anime,as a popular art form in contemporary times,has become a visual memory with the growth of the younger generation and the reform and opening up,affects the creation of art practitioners.At the same time,animation,as a comprehensive art form,graphics occupies the main position,and as a language tool of narrative expression,graphics plays an important role in contemporary art creation.This article analyzes the application of Japanese anime art in creation from the perspective of graphic language.This article uses literature analysis,case study,and comparative methods to describe and define the concepts of Japanese anime and graphic language,and analyzes the reasons for the formation of Japanese anime graphic language and the characteristics of the times.Mainly basing on the character styling in Japanese anime works,this article provides examples of how to exaggerate and refine graphics and colors to create an impressive symbolic design in Japanese anime works.And this article analyzes the connection between Japanese anime graphics and colors in arousing audience psychological cognition and emotional waves through specific cases.It summarizes the emotional expression methods of Japanese anime graphic language.Basing on the narrative characteristics of graphic language,it combines with the language of film shots.And this article briefly analyzes how Japanese anime enhances its narrative ability through the use of grid division as a form of expression.Through in-depth analysis of the works of contemporary cartoon generation and new cartoon generation artists,this article explore the application value and spiritual connotation of Japanese anime language in artistic works.On this basis,this article will combine with my own watercolor creation practice and utilize the graphic language of Japanese anime to express the alienation of young people who have grown up under the influence of Japanese culture from the times and the world.This study mainly involves the formation and characteristics of Japanese anime graphic language.it introduces the connection between Japanese anime culture and the creative phenomena of the ’cartoon generation’ and youth cruelty in contemporary Chinese art through practical cases to prove the practical value of Japanese anime graphic language in artistic creation.Applying the graphic language of Japanese anime to watercolor painting creation and personalized expression,this article will even enrich the spiritual connotation of the work and makes some new explorations for the popularization and diversification of watercolor art works.
