Greeting is a common verbal communication behavior when people meet,and it is the embodiment of determining and maintaining the communicative relationship between the two sides.Greetings is the beginning of communication conversation,and it is also a language form frequently used by Chinese learners.However,due to the influence of pragmatic environment and Chinese cultural connotation,there are still pragmatic errors of Chinese learners about greeting in communication.At the same time,the lack of due attention to greeting teaching is also an important reason for learners’ pragmatic mistakes.Therefore,in the teaching of Teaching Chinese as a foreign language,how to help Chinese learners to master the correct and customary way to use greetings is the main purpose of this paper.This paper,combined with previous research results,redefines Chinese greeting and divides it into verbal and non-verbal types.Among them,verbal greeting is the research object of this paper,which is divided into six categories: appellation,greeting,immediate,playful,interjection and compound.According to the classification of greeting,this article selected by the Beijing Language and Culture University press four volumes "Road To Success" textbooks and six volumes "New Target Chinese Spoken Language" textbooks as a source of corpus,detailed statistics of the two sets of textbooks in different categories of Chinese greeting arrangement and the setting of communication scenes and relationship.Based on the comparison of data statistics,the author summarizes the relevant problems in the arrangement of Chinese greeting: the arrangement of greeting type is deficient,the degree of difficulty is no progressively deepen,the setting of communication scenes and relationship is limited,and the arrangement of greeting in the textbook lacks certain Chinese cultural connotation.Finally,the author combines the existing practical achievements and her own experience in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and puts forward some suggestions on the arrangement of Chinese greeting language teaching materials and teaching methods.For the arrangement of teaching materials about greeting,the situation should be set flexibly to reflect the authenticity,the degree of difficulty should gradually deepen,with some emphasis to reflect the scientificity,provide various types and reflect the diversity,clarify the pragmatic conditions and reflect the pertinence.Teachers should create real and diverse context in teaching,explain the differences between languages and attach importance to the connotation of Chinese culture.
