The Table of Commonly Used Words in National General Sign Language, which has been officially implemented since July 1,2018,is the "Mandarin" of Chinese sign language and has played a great role in serving to protect the language and writing rights of special people in accordance with the law.As an important part of the national common language, the national common sign language also needs to promote standardization and informationization. This study attempts to solve the following three questions: Firstly,to determine which words are more "commonly used" among the 8,214 words in the "List of Commonly Used Words in National General Sign Language",i.e.,which are the "core words" that should be learned as a priority in the promotion and teaching of general sign language.Secondly,to design a labeling scheme for this part of the core vocabulary of CSL,so as to build a Chinese CSL vocabulary database containing relevant features at the lexical, semantic and phonological levels.Thirdly,to describe the phonological and lexical features of this part of the core vocabulary of CSL based on this database. In order to answer question one, this study tries to determine the principles of the core vocabulary of CSL and initially determines the list of core vocabulary of CSL totaling 950items;and on this basis,it designs the lexical characteristics, phonological characteristics, and other characteristics of the core vocabulary of GSL for the annotation scheme and develops the Chinese GSL vocabulary dataset(CSL-LEX1.0),which solves question two.Based on the annotation results of CSL-LEX1.0 data, this study metrologically analyzes and describes some lexical features and phonological features of the CSL core vocabulary, and also summarizes the lexical construction strategies and morphology of some CSL vocabulary in combination with the analysis of the core vocabulary, which solves question three.
