Optical illusion refers to that the observer produces false visual feelings which are inconsistent with the objective facts under the interference of objective factors or under the control of their own psychological factors.Based on the research on the concept and development of optical illusion,the classification of optical illusion and its scientific principle are sorted out.Through the case analysis of optical illusion in art,combined with personal creation,the application of optical illusion principle in cross-media art creation is discussed.The thesis is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which discusses the origin and innovation of the research and research methods.The second part,on the basis of the concept of optical illusion,summarizes the common optical illusion and its scientific principle,and puts forward the basic classification of common optical illusion.The third part further analyzes the application cases of optical illusion in the field of art and discusses the different applications of optical illusion in artistic creation as a kind of visual science research.The fourth part mainly discusses the experience and research of optical illusion,and creates a group of cross-media art works "Phantom Umbrella" series.Through the elaboration of the creative conception and effect of personal works,this paper describes the artistic transformation of scientific principles by the creation method of trans-media art in this group of works,and demonstrates the view that there is a great space for feasible practice between scientific research and trans-media art creation.At the same time,on the basis of theoretical research and creative practice,the author further integrates his personal humanistic understanding of "rain",a physical phenomenon,and personal feelings.The relationship between individuals,space and society is just like the relationship between "rain" and "umbrella".In the process of growing up,the image of "umbrella" gradually becomes the representation of personal character."I" is to the problem of the world,just like an umbrella is to the solution of a rainy day.The conclusion of the fifth part summarizes the phased achievements of the research and creation,and also clarifies the direction of the future research and creation.
