The Impact Of Changes In The Scale Of Rural Settlements Under In-situ Industrialization

In the context of rapid industrialization and urbanization,rural settlements have undergone major changes.In areas with rapid local industrialization,the changes in rural settlements show different characteristics from those in other areas.Analyzing and studying the characteristics and trends of this change has important theoretical and practical significance for rural development.Based on this,this paper selects Changyuan City,a well-developed local industrial area in Henan Province,as the research area,after dividing it into north and south zones according to the level of industrialization development and land use data,using remote sensing image data,natural village population data and socioeconomic statistical data,using the methods of settlement expansion index and spatial autocorrelation to compare and analyze the changes of settlement scale in the north and south regions,and obtain the temporal and spatial evolution and spatial agglomeration characteristics of settlement scale expansion under different industrialization backgrounds.The conclusions in the research can be summarized as follows:(1)Changes in the size of rural settlements: The north and south regions with different levels of in situ industrialization have obvious differences in the changes of settlement scale.Firstly,in the northern region,where the level of local industrialization is relatively low,the industrialization development of all the towns and towns within it has remained at a relatively low level,so the impact of industrialization development on the scale of settlements in the region is not obvious.The expansion of settlements in the northern region is relatively stable and the expansion rate has decreased,and the difference in the area of settlement patches in the inner townships is relatively small,the increase and expansion intensity of the settlement area are relatively small,and the expansion of the settlement area between towns and towns is relatively uniform and synchronous,the gap between towns and towns is small,and there is no major change in the expansion level due to industrialization.The population size gap between towns and towns in the northern region is also relatively small,the population size is relatively evenly distributed,and the population expansion of settlements between towns and towns is in a relatively even and synchronized state.Secondly,in the southern region,where local industrialization is developing rapidly,the expansion of settlement scale and the rate of industrialization develop simultaneously,with the development of industrialization,settlements expanded significantly.In situ industrialization also had an important impact on the rate and area of settlement expansion in the southern region.The area of settlement patches in the southern region varies significantly,and the expansion rates of settlements in different townships are not uniform,The gaps in the expansion of settlement areas among the internal townships continued to widen,and the speed and level of settlement area expansion in Chengguan Town,Naoli Town and Dingluan Town,which had developed better local industrialization,were significantly higher than those of other towns and towns.The size of the settlement population in the southern region gradually increased with the increase of the industrialization rate.The population size gap between towns and towns is large.The number of townships with large population sizes in the southern region is small,but the expansion speed and expansion level are high,the number of townships with small population size is large,but the expansion speed and expansion rate are low,there are obvious gaps between towns and towns in terms of population size,their expansion is not synchronized,and their development is uneven.(2)Rural settlement space agglomeration: In the north and south regions with different levels of industrialization,the spatial agglomeration changes of settlements show different characteristics.In the southern region where local industrialization is well developed,the change in the proportion of settlements with high scale and high agglomeration is synchronized with industrial development,with the gradual increase of the industrialization rate,the proportion of settlements with high patch size and high aggregation in the southern region increased from 50% to 95%,and the proportion of settlements with high population size and high aggregation increased from 50% to 70%.In the northern region,the proportion of high-aggregation settlements continued to decrease.At different stages of industrialization development,the changes in spatial agglomeration of settlements also show different characteristics.In the early stage of industrialization,there was no obvious difference in internal industrialization,the proportion of high-scale and high-aggregation settlements in the southern region increased from 50% to 56%,while the northern region decreased from 50% to 44%,the settlement scale is high and the high agglomeration area is more evenly distributed in the inner area.In the middle of industrialization,the proportion of high and high agglomeration in the southern region increased to 70%,while the proportion in the northern region decreased from 40% to about 30%,due to the differences in in-situ industrialization in the northern and southern regions,the southern regions with good in-situ industrialization began to form settlement patches and high population agglomeration areas in county towns and well-industrialized areas.In the later stage of industrialization,the industrialization rate stabilized within a certain range,the proportion of large-scale high-level agglomeration in the southern region increased to 77%,and the high-level agglomeration areas in areas with good local industrialization stabilized,the proportion of high-scale and high-scale aggregation in the northern region has been reduced to 23%.In the southern region,there is a spatial distribution of clusters of patches with the county as the center and surrounded by large populations,in the northern area,the distribution characteristics of Shejia Town as the center,the surrounding population patches with low and low agglomeration,and the high and high agglomeration around Zhaodi Town are formed,and the spatial difference between the north and south areas is further widened.In situ industrialization brings expansion and development impetus to the scale of rural settlements,and at the same time promotes the continuous increase in the scale and speed of expansion of rural settlements.The scale expansion of settlements in rural areas with a low level of in-situ industrialization is closer to the development of settlements in ordinary rural areas,without the intervention of external factors,the scale of rural settlements expanded and developed at its original speed,and the expansion speed and expansion scale were slow,the scale of the settlement patches was mostly carried out on the original basis,and the expansion power of the internal patches was insufficient.In areas with a higher level of local industrialization,the expansion of rural settlements is more obvious,and the differences in the development of internal settlements are also more obvious.(3)Suggestions for the development of rural settlements: Firstly,for suburban integration villages in county towns and around towns,strengthen development planning and control the speed and scale of factory land expansion.Upgrade and adjust existing characteristic industries,continue to learn advanced technologies,and develop new markets.Do a good job in the two-way development planning of settlements and industries,and realize the orderly development of industries,unified planning and construction of cities and towns,and harmonious living of villagers.Secondly,for villages in the northern and southern regions that are developing blindly and disorderly and developing slowly,rural settlement expansion plans and industrial development directions should be scientifically formulated.Establish a scale development system suitable for settlement levels,and promote the intensive and connotative development of rural settlements.Villages improve infrastructure,attract related industries to transfer entry,introduce mature and stable technologies,cultivate new driving forces for the scale development of settlements,and promote high-quality and sustainable development of rural settlements.
