A Studay On The Literature Of Wang Tuo’s Work

Bat-Ochiryn Togtokht?r(1797-1868),known as Wang Tuo,was a famous industrialist,educator,and cultural activist in the late Qing Dynasty and leader of the Setsen Khan Aimag Assembly of the Zasag Dornod Province,Right Middle Banner,in Kalkha Mongolian.He created many immortal works in his life,some of which were widely known and influential at the time.For example,the "kebei wang un a?u t?rüküi ji ?i?a?san sur?al bolai"(abbreviated as "Instruction"),written by him in 1853,is to date the first known economic treatise in Mongolian literature;and the "mong?ul un nigen?a?un tolu?ai üsüg orusibai"(abbreviated as “Wisdom Gospel”)written in1864,is an important linguistic literature in Mongolian language.Wang Tuo ’s "Parrot Instruction" is a widely circulated instructional poem primarily in the form of manuscript.The study of Wang Tuo’s works is of great significance in the development of Mongolian literature,and the research value of these works is self-evident.This paper intends to conduct a literature review of Wang Tuo ’s works from a bibliographic perspective,comprehensively explore their bibliographic significance,and elucidate the embedded literary values.The paper consists of three parts: introduction,main body(three works),and conclusion.The introduction explains the research purpose and significance,research overview,research methods,and research innovations.The first part discusses Wang Tuo ’s economic treatise,"Instruction," in three aspects: the background of its creation,the ideological content,and the verification of different versions."Instruction" is a cultural product of the late Qing dynasty that primarily explains the nomadic production,life,economy,and customs of the Kalkha region in the mid-19 th century.Five versions of "Instruction" have been found to date,and the author conducted a meticulous review of these versions and verified two fundamental complete versions based on them.The second part analyzes Wang Tuo’s linguistic literature,"Wisdom Gospel," from three aspects: its title meaning,version characteristics,and its transmission.On this basis,the paper provides a detailed analysis of its content structure and verifies the information sources of the "Wisdom Gospel." The third part mainly discusses Wang Tuo ’s instructional poem,"Parrot Instruction," including three aspects: first,it verifies the author of the "Parrot Instruction" and confirms that Wang Tuo is the author of the work based on evidence.Second,the author conducted bibliographic review of the 47 versions of "Parrot Instruction," and based on this review,verified the complete version of the work.Third,the author discussed the content and form of "Parrot Instruction."In the conclusion,the paper summarizes and concludes the research content of the study.
