Modern information technology is promoting the application of multimodal theory in the field of language teaching.Multimodal language teaching aims to integrate multiple symbolic resources to promote learners’ understanding of language meaning and enhance their language expression ability.At present,the research and application of this theory in the field of language teaching has achieved certain findings,but the research results of applying multimodal theory to the field of international Chinese language teaching are still relatively few.The Chinese audio-visual class combines the symbolic resources of sight,sound and speech,and has the characteristics of three-dimensional and multimodal teaching.Based on the multimodal theory,this paper uses literature research,statistical analysis and graphical methods to analyze the Chinese audio-visual textbook China Focus(Advanced)and give advice on the use of teaching materials in order to provide reference for users of this textbook.It is expected to improve the comprehensive language skills of Chinese learners.The exordium of this paper mainly states the research background,study significance,research thoughts and research methods,and also summarizes and composes the existing research.ChapterⅠgives an overview of multimodal theory from three aspects:the proposal of multimodal theory,the foundation of multimodal theory and the comprehensive framework of multimodal theory,and then proposes the principles of international Chinese audio-visual teaching design under the guidance of multimodal theory.ChapterⅡanalyzes the characteristics of the advanced Chinese audiovisual speaking textbook China Focus from the multimodal theory,including three features of three-dimensional support for teaching and learning,multimodal content presentation and diversified skill training,which provide references for the later instructional design.The third chapter gives advice on the use of teaching materials of the advanced Chinese audio-visual class based on the multimodal theory and the characteristics of the textbook.The last part is the concluding remarks,which analyzes the innovations and shortcomings of this study. |
