| The tenor aria "In the Cold Night" is a classic cantata from the national opera "The Long March".It is a representative vocal work composed by lyricist Zou Jingzhi and composer Yin Qing in recent years.It has a beautiful melody,wide range,sincere emotion and clear layers,with a strong artistic impact,and requires high singing skills from the singers themselves.The author,as a tenor,has sung this work and is impressed by the richness of emotion and the strong dramatic tension contained in this work.Through the study of this work,I hope to improve my own singing and stage performance skills.This paper consists of an introduction,a text and a conclusion,and is a study of the artistic characteristics and vocal treatment of the tenor aria "In the Cold Night" in three chapters.The author has studied the opera script,watched and analysed different versions of the video,and combined his own artistic practice to gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire piece.In the first chapter,the background to the composition of this aria,the development of the plot,and the authorship of the words and music will be analysed.The second chapter will analyse the musical structure,melodic rhythm,lyrical expression,piano accompaniment and other musical elements of the work.The third chapter combines theory and practice to refine the key technical points of the piece in terms of singing,from breath,voice,cadence,bite and exhale,emotional expression,stage performance and other musical techniques,in order to pinpoint the inner emotional changes of the characters,create a full and relevant character image,and improve one’s performance ability.It is hoped that the study of this tenor aria,"In the Cold Night",will help the author to improve her own singing and increase her knowledge of folk opera singing.At the same time,through this study,I hope to provide a reference for learners of this work,so that they can perform the cantata imaginatively and vividly,and feel the spirit of the Long March,which is fearless and unrelenting. |
