Nowadays,there are some problems in the physical and mental health of college students,which has become a new challenge on a global scale.In addition to lack of physical activity,college students also face poor sleep quality,and many even suffer from insomnia.Previous studies have shown that physical activity can affect sleep quality,but the specific mechanism is not clear.Based on previous studies,this study explored the relationship between physical activity and sleep quality,and further clarified whether stress perception and state-trait anxiety played a chain mediating role in it.In this study,the International College Students Physical Activity Questionnaire,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Scale,Stress Perception Scale and state-trait Anxiety Scale were used to collect questionnaires from college students nationwide(Jiangxi,Guangdong,Shanghai,etc.).A total of 580 valid questionnaires were collected.SPSS software and PROCESS macro were used for detailed analysis,and independent sample T test,single factor ANOVA test,correlation analysis and intermediate effect test were also used for statistical analysis and data processing.The results found that:1.There are significant differences in physical activity of college students in terms of gender,place of residence and educational background;The sleep quality of college students has significant difference in gender and domicile.State-trait anxiety of college students has significant difference in gender.There are significant differences in the stress perception of college students between genders.2.Physical activity,sleep quality,stress perception,and state-trait anxiety of college students are pairwise related.3.Physical activity can negatively predict sleep quality,stress perception,statetrait anxiety;Stress perception can positively predict sleep quality and state-trait anxiety.State-trait anxiety can positively predict sleep quality.4.Stress perception plays a partial mediating role between physical activity and sleep quality.5.State anxiety played a partial mediating role between total physical activity level and sleep quality,but trait anxiety did not.6.Stress perception and state-trait anxiety play a chain mediating role between physical activity and sleep quality.Based on the above research results,the following conclusions are drawn: physical activity,sleep quality,perceived stress and state-trait anxiety are not only pairwise significantly correlated,but physical activity can also affect state-trait anxiety through perceived stress,and ultimately affect sleep quality.Therefore,Chinese universities should improve the physical activity level of college students,improve the sports atmosphere of college students,so as to reduce the pressure perception and state-trait anxiety of college students,and improve the quality of sleep. |
