| Under the background of the rural revitalization strategy put forward by the19 th CPC National Congress and the successful case of constructing characteristic towns in Zhejiang Province,and the comprehensive promotion of rural revitalization proposed in the report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,various provinces and cities actively respond to the policies and rise the tide of cultivating and developing characteristic towns.Since characteristic towns play an important role in promoting the development of new-type urbanization and rural revitalization,it is of great importance to study the development potential of characteristic towns.There are various types of characteristic towns,among which historical and cultural tourism characteristic towns are an important type.They can not only be used as a carrier to inherit and protect historical culture and have educational significance,but also promote the growth of local economy and improve people’s living standards.However,due to the large wave of construction of characteristic towns around the country,problems such as inaccurate development orientation,eager for success and poor experience appear in the cultivation and development process,So there are some problems in the construction of characteristic towns in some regions of China.How to cultivate and build a successful characteristic town has become the focus of the research,so it is correct and indispensable to study the development potential of historical and cultural tourism characteristic town.By combing and sorting out the literature related to characteristic towns,historical and cultural tourism characteristic towns and development potential,and combining with the development status of historical and cultural tourism characteristic towns,this study analyzes the factors affecting the development potential of historical and cultural tourism characteristic towns from three aspects:historical and cultural protection and development potential,tourism industry development potential and development guarantee potential.At the same time according to the related theory and an expert’s opinion,from the historical and cultural protection and development potential,tourism development potential and development guarantee potential three dimensions to build the historical and cultural tourism type characteristic town development potential evaluation index system,by using the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to calculate index weight and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation score.This paper selected Guilin Daxu Ancient Town as the case for empirical research,summarized and analyzed the development status of Daxu Ancient Town,and then carried out fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of the development potential of historical and cultural tourism Daxu Ancient Town and detailed analysis of the development potential evaluation results of each level in the index system.The research results showed that: The comprehensive evaluation and development potential value of historical and cultural tourism Daxu Ancient Town is 65.5262.According to the five evaluation levels delimited,the development potential of historical and cultural tourism Daxu Ancient Town is at a good level.The index score of development guarantee potential was 68.8370,ranking first.Tourism industry development potential index score was 65.3287,ranking the second.The index score of historical culture protection and development potential was 63.2020,ranking third.Finally,according to the research conclusion,the following suggestions are put forward: dig deep cultural connotation,highlight the cultural connotation of the town;Give full play to government functions and enhance the awareness of cultural inheritance;Understanding cultural relic buildings,delimit the red line of the protection of cultural relics;Increase employment opportunities and improve the social and economic level;Expand financing channels,enhance tourism capital investment;Increase publicity efforts to attract potential tourism market groups;Tourist accommodation facilities,improving the capacity of tourist reception;Develop tourism cooperation extensively and form convergence with surrounding counties;Optimize and upgrade service facilities to comprehensively improve tourists’ service experience;Improve ecological compensation mechanism and expand ecological and environmental advantages;We will continuously improve the management level and strengthen institutional guarantees for tourism development. |
