Perseverance And Innovation Of Character Documentaries In The New Media Environment

With the development of new media and the change of technology and concept,character documentaries have developed rapidly in the second decade of the new century.In the development process of character documentary,its core observation object is still "people",and the story of the characters is presented to the audience in the form of images through artistic processing and expression.This paper takes the new media environment as the background and the graduation project "Not Complicated and Returning" as the main research case.In order to better carry out the research,this paper combs the development of new media since 2010,analyzes the development status of character documentaries from 2010 to the present 12 years in combination with the development background,analyzes and combs the character documentaries during this period,and determines the research direction.This article explores the development and changes of character documentaries in the new media environment from two perspectives: persistence and innovation.Analyze the principles of character documentaries from three perspectives: authenticity,emotional expression,and storytelling.Based on this,analyze the principles of subjective and objective authenticity,life authenticity,and artistic authenticity,emotional expression of the emotional needs of the subject,creator,and audience,as well as the principles of authenticity and storytelling.Explore the principles of character documentary creation;Exploring the innovation of character documentaries in the new media environment from three aspects: creative path,narrative strategy,and expressive techniques.From this,the author analyzes the changes in the creation path from the subject type,data analysis and audience experience,as well as the changes in the narrative strategy from the perspective,structure to content,and finally falls into the means of expression.He analyzes the diversification of technical means,the fragmentation of shooting pictures,and the younger expression of commentaries.In the next decade of the new century,we aim to provide richer theoretical and practical references for the creation of character documentaries.
