"Naturation" And "Changing":On The Root Of Unkindness In Chuanshan’s Theory Of Human Nature

Chuanshan’s theory of human nature revolves around the elements of heart,nature,emotion,and talent,and finally forms a unique view of"everyday is born".Among these several elements,"heart" can be regarded as the overall structure of consciousness,and there is no good or evil in itself."Talent" refers to the regulation of form and quality,which can be divided into high and low qualities,but there is no difference between good and evil."Nature" has two aspects:congenital and acquired.As a bridge between heaven and man,congenital nature is ordered by heaven and provides the possibility of human beings being able to do good,but it does not determine the formation of acquired good and evil in human nature.Acquired nature is formed from habit,and there are good and bad according to the specific atmosphere of "habit".This part is the core factor that determines the good and evil of specific human nature.The formation and fixation of "Xi" originate from the development and function of human feelings.Human inner feelings and the movement of yin and yang in the external world will converge.a few",from which unwholesomeness arises.Therefore,in Chuanshan’s theory of human nature,"variation" is the root of human nature’s good and evil tendencies,which can also be understood as the root of evil.However,there is no possibility of unkindness in all the causal chains that lead to transformation,so why does evil suddenly appear at the transformation stage?This article believes that this is Chuanshan’s helpless attempt to reconcile the "reality" of the mixed good and evil in the real world with the "of course" of "nature is good" in Confucian values.
