| Gerard Genette(1930-2018)was one of the leading figures in the narrative science of structuralism in France in the 20th century.He made great achievements in the theoretical research of narrative texts.The theory of paratext founded after the study of narrative text theory is an indispensable part of his study of text theory.In his work "Threshold"(Seuils),which takes the side text as the research object,Genette elaborated on the definition,classification,function and other issues of the paratext,opening up a dynamic,multiple text space,well supplemented and expanded the previous text research.This initiative has produced an important response in the international academic circle,and many scholars have interpreted and expanded the research of the paratext theory.The paratext theory has been in China for more than 30 years.After a series of translation,dissemination,absorption and transformation,it has finally participated in the practical study of Chinese literary criticism.Paper has four chapters,the first chapter mainly expounds the connotation of paratext theory and its western context,paratext theory is mainly in "linguistics to" and the development of post-modernism,with the study of paratext theory,its theoretical connotation in a changing process of development.The second chapter mainly discusses the communication background and translation process of the paratext theory in China.When the paratext theory was introduced into China,it was in the period when various western literary theories and their discourse methods flooded into China,and the literary and art circles presented a situation of miscellaneous symbiosis.Therefore,in this context,the interpretation of the paratext theory will inevitably misinterpret.In view of the translation process of paratext theory in China,this paper sorts out three stages: translation and communication stage,multiple interpretation stage and revision and innovation stage.The third chapter mainly discusses the phenomenon and the causes of the changes after entering China.After the theory entered China,some domestic scholars had a strong local consciousness in the interpretation of the theory,so the phenomenon of different change appeared in the process of theoretical interpretation and application.The main manifestation of the phenomenon is the misreading and confusion of concepts and the creative transformation of paratext theory.The misreading and confusion of concepts are mainly reflected in the deviation of the meaning of "paratext" and "paratextuality".The reasons for the change are mainly reflected in the following aspects: the influence of theoretical travel,the differences between Chinese and Western culture and language thinking,and the influence of the development of diversified media.Based on the fourth chapter of this paper,the practical significance and enlightenment of the theory are discussed.The sinicization of Genette paratext theory provides some ideas and methods for constructing the discourse system of literary theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics. |
