A Report On The Translation Of Aging Together:Dementia,Friendship,and Flourishing Communities(Chapters 2&3)

This is an E-C translation report based on the translating practice of dementia information popularization book Aging Together: Dementia,Friendship,and Flourishing Communities(for short Aging Together).Under the current trend of aging population,especially in China,the translator would like to not only popularize the professional knowledge to his readers but also extend the idea that friendship and experience with those dementia-affected people also adds meaning to aging.Under the guidance of the Skopos Theory,the translator employs omission,adding in-text annotations and footnotes,conversion and division and reorganization to address problems such as deixis,terminologies,nominalization and long and complex sentences in E-C translation.So as to bring a better reading experience to the target readers who may lack relevant background knowledge,the translator provides necessary information.
