The development of virtual technology has spawned the emergence of new cultural forms,virtual singers,as a derivative culture of two-dimensional culture,have the characteristics of virtuality,technical dependence,controllability,etc.,fans can use the voice bank of virtual singers and tuning software to create songs for virtual singers.In recent years,with the advancement of virtual technology and the popularity of the metaverse concept,virtual characters have become the object of creation and development in major industries,and the core market size of China’s virtual idol industry is expected to reach 2.1 billion yuan in 2023.Luo Tianyi is China’s first and currently the most well-known virtual singer,and most of her songs are written by fans.The special attributes of Luo Tianyi influence the production and consumption behavior of its fans,and fans create their own unique Luo Tianyi by actively participating in cultural production activities.Fans have moved from text poachers to the first producers of culture,and the cultural practice activities of fans have built a venue for free expression of emotions,and huge cultural potential and meaning have been bred in this venue.This paper takes the fans of virtual singer Luo Tianyi as a research example,uses online observation and in-depth interviews as research methods,focuses on the platform B station with the highest fan activity,conducts participatory observations on the works created by fans and community exchanges,and selects fans with older fans for in-depth interviews to understand the creative ecology within the community and their views on the development of the virtual singer industry today.Fans obtain their own cultural capital through cultural participation activities,and carry out their own identity transformation in the process of cultural capital accumulation,and the development of virtual singers promotes the development of cultural popularization and changes the inherent status of fans and idols.This paper argues that the cultural activities of virtual singer fans are actually a fusion of production and consumption,and fans have pleasure and construct self-subjectivity in the process of participating in cultural production.The emergence and development of virtual singers has stimulated the cultural creation potential of the fan group to a certain extent,but there are also certain problems in the current development,the development model of today’s virtual singers is highly dependent on the fan group,the voluntary creation of the fan group is essentially an emotional labor under the digital economy,fans are involved in the closed loop of capital surplus value appreciation,the push mechanism of each platform also greatly affects the creative ecology of the fan group,and the creation market has a phenomenon of bad money driving out good money.This article believes that the emergence of virtual singers has stimulated the creative vitality of fans,but how to make this creative vitality truly promote the development of culture and expand the public’s cultural consciousness,and guide the balanced development of culture and entertainment,is the meaning of the development of virtual singers,and it is also the trend and trend that should be developed in the future.
