The mixed chorus My Brother Return, adapted by renowned conductor and composer Chen Guoquan from composer Zhou Manli’s solo art song of the same name,is a song in memory of patriotic poet Qu Yuan. The melody of this work is beautiful and graceful, and the music creation techniques are diverse. It is often used as a concert performance or competition piece by the chorus team.Due to the differences in singing level, personnel composition, piano accompaniment and conducting ability of each team, the final presentation effect is different. In this paper,Zhenjiang University for the Aged Choir,Hubei Xinghai Choir and Gansu Qilian Voice Choir were selected to make a comparative study of their singing versions, and analyze the characteristics of different teams in speed, strength and grace note processing.Through reading literature, extracting audio and video information, and studying music scores, this paper discusses one by one from the aspects of music ontology, singing analysis of each group and singing characteristics, providing a new perspective for the study of similar works in the future.
