Visual Design And Application Research Of Yichang Dialect

Under the background of vigorously promoting the Putonghua policy across the country,the language environment of dialects in various regions has been impacted to a certain extent.The once simple and friendly hometown dialects have gradually become unfamiliar.It’s in childhood memories.As an intangible culture with rich heritage,the Yichang dialect with a long history is an important carrier of Yichang’s regional culture.However,under the language environment dominated by Mandarin,the dissemination and development of Yichang dialect has been affected by a non-negligible influence.Therefore,the author hopes to provide a new perspective and thinking for the inheritance and protection of Yichang dialect through the exploration and practice of the visual design of Yichang dialect.First of all,this article starts with Yichang’s regional culture through literature analysis and field investigation,and analyzes and summarizes the pronunciation,intonation and vocabulary of Yichang dialect.Then,from the perspective of semantics and semiotics,research the status quo of the visual design of dialects,take specific design works as examples,and summarize the visual design forms of dialects and their readability,simplicity,personalization,interest,aesthetic design principles.Finally,combined with the results of the questionnaire survey,regionally representative vocabulary is selected from the Yichang dialect,and the visual design form and principles of the dialect are used for design and application practice,and graphic design and text design are applied to various products.
