The Embodiment And Expression Of Surrealism In My Printmaking Work

Surrealism is an art genre that emerged during the outbreak of the two world wars of the20 th century,and since its inception,its absurd,weird,dreamy,and pursuit of subconscious style has rapidly expanded from Paris to a global scale,and has been sought after by many artists.The surrealist style gets rid of the constraints of time and space,expands people’s imaginative thinking,and pays more attention to the integration of techniques and emotions than the study of painting language techniques,pursues more inner mental state,and emphasizes people’s subjective initiative.Through the in-depth analysis of the surrealist style and its representative artists,combined with his own artistic creation,the author explores the embodiment and expression of its surrealist style in the creation of contemporary printmaking art,so as to develop and innovate on the basis of inheritance,and trigger people’s thinking about modern society and the environment through the author’s works.This paper reviews the background significance of the selected topic and related literature.The first chapter sorts out the emergence and development of surrealism and its conceptual significance;The second chapter analyzes the works inspired by the author’s creative process among the representative artists of surrealism from the three aspects of composition,color expression and image elements,and at the same time analyzes and organizes the printmaking works in the surrealist art style,and applies them to the author’s printmaking works.The third chapter takes the author’s work as an example,from the creative ideas,artistic practice,emotional expression and other aspects of the interpretation of the work,the author through two extremely incongruous elements to form the picture,so that the whole picture is full of contradictions,showing a detached,dreamy real scene,the confusion and uneasiness generated in the environment in the environment changes through surrealist style way to express,hoping that in today’s environment,through the form of my printmaking works to awaken people’s attention to the environment and society.At the same time,find your own style in constant experimentation and exploration.
