Chinese rhetorical devices is not only a category of language skills,but also a kind of thinking and wisdom in the use of Chinese,which can achieve the best communication effect by improving interpersonal communication.As one of the important fields of linguistic research,Chinese rhetoric plays an important role in learning Chinese.As one of the six official languages used by the United Nations,Chinese has many fans from different countries.With the development of the times,today’s China has promoted the enhancement of cultural consciousness and cultural confidence to the height of the strategy of modern and powerful country.It can be seen that the Chinese language is very vital both at home and abroad.Chinese rhetorical devices take the common language of the Chinese people as the research ontology,combine teaching Chinese as a foreign language and Chinese rhetoric from the perspective of culture.It will help to give full play to the role of Chinese as a tool of communication and thinking,and dig deeply into the cultural connotation of Chinese.Teaching material is one of the important basis for teachers in the process of teaching,as well as an essential reference tool for students to learn.Therefore,the frequency of rhetorical devices in textbooks,the specific content involved and the arrangement of Chinese rhetorical devices will directly affect teachers’ grasp of the teaching process of rhetorical devices and students’ understanding and application of it.As one of the most frequently used textbooks for international students,A Course In Chinese has a large audience group.This paper takes the textbook of the third edition of the A Course In Chinese as the research object,and analyzes the rhetorical devices involved in six volumes in three versions.Firstly,the part is the introduction,which mainly introduce the research background,the significance of the topic,the research review and the research object.Secondly,I count the kind of rhetorical devices and the using number of rhetorical devices in the textbook text,and the use of rhetorical devices in several typical cultural categories is also sorted out and analyzed,aiming to summarize the characteristics of the arrangement of rhetorical devices.Thirdly,I classify rhetoric as the basis of the analysis of cultural symbols,and inquiry the surface symbols of Chinese culture and their inner meaning.Then,on the basis of cultural symbols,I deeply explore the national character and cultural psychology of the rhetoric phenomenon.In the end,after thinking and summarizing the arrangement of rhetorical devices in the teaching materials,I would like to provides some suggestions and strategies for the arrangement of Chinese teaching materials and the teaching of teachers using A Course In Chinese from the perspective of cultural teaching.For example,teaching materials should added more content of culture,and teachers should set up a strong awareness of cultural transmission.It is hoped that it can provide some reference and help for the arrangement and teaching of rhetorical devices,and make my humble effort to the successful acquisition of rhetorical devices by foreign students and many other Chinese learners,so as to improve their Chinese communication ability and Chinese cultural appreciation.
