A Study On The Narrative Strategies Of Youth Group Images In Documentary Film

Since entering the new era,with the gradual prosperity of the motherland,the younger generation has taken the initiative to shoulder the heavy responsibility in poverty alleviation,rural revitalization and the COVID-19.They have taken root at the grass-roots level,served the people,and traveled through various fields,making important contributions to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.The group images of young people in the documentary film truthfully reproduce the face of contemporary youth through images,conveying the struggle spirit and noble sentiments of contemporary youth.Based on narrative strategies,this study focuses on discussing the group images of young people in documentary films,and uses multiple narrative strategy theories to conduct in-depth analysis of the group images of young people in documentary films under the standard of narratology.On the basis of observing and studying a large number of group images of young people in documentaries,the author conducts a comparative analysis of important works in relevant documentaries and conducts a more in-depth study.This study is divided into five chapters as a whole.Firstly,starting from the overall concept of youth group images in documentary films,this paper discusses the current situation and development characteristics of youth group images in documentary films;Secondly,it analyzes the narrative strategies of youth group portraits in documentary films,and conducts research from such aspects as theme expression,character analysis,and plot structure setting;Thirdly,it discusses the narrative language of related documentaries,including lens construction,sound construction,and scene construction,to discuss the youth group images in the documentaries;Select relevant documentaries from the secondary perspective and conduct a comparative study of their narrative characteristics;Finally,I made a creative interpretation and reflection on my personal work "Duan Jia Tan No.60",and discussed and summarized the above research results based on my personal views,hoping to play a certain supplement to the creation and research fields of youth group portraits in documentary films.
