Abstract/Summary:
Chinese culture is vast and profound, and the many ancient poems and lyrics,as well as ancient art, handed down from ancient times are the treasures of Chinese culture and an important literary source for future generations. The subject of this paper is the vocal work Qing Yu Pian-New Year’s Eve,composed by two composers,Ao Changqun and Li Yan,with lyrics by Xin Qiji. This paper analyses the two versions of the song from five perspectives:from the musical ontology and from the perspective of singing. The first part is an analysis of the lyricists of the two songs from the background of their composition. The second part is an analysis of the musical text of the two songs, with a comparison of the song form and harmony and the accompanying textures. The third part is an analysis of the different vocal versions of the song "Qing Yu Cai-Yuan Xi" by different singers. The fourth part is a comparative analysis of the singing studies of the two songs, with a detailed exploration of several aspects of the use of breath and bite, the use of emotion in the work and the work with the piano accompaniment, and a comparison of the embellishment, the American and ethnic style songs and the treatment of emotion. The fifth section summarises the inspirations brought to us by the different songs and lyrics of Qing Yu Pian-New Year’s Eve,in terms of improving the ability to integrate the meaning of classical poetry and songs and the value and significance of disseminating classical poetry and songs.Through the study of the performance of the song "Qing Yu Cai-Yuan Xi",we can summarize some of our own revelations in the process of singing,so that we can deeply appreciate the value and significance of spreading Chinese classical poetry.
